Team Pacific rowed their way into the records books this morning as they crossed the finish line of the Great Pacific Race. In doing so they have set a new Guinness World Record as the first team of three to row the Pacific and broken the record as the youngest team of three to row any ocean. Megan, Cazz and Eleanor crossed the finish line in a total race time of 62 days 18 hours and 36 minutes and take second place in this year’s Great Pacific Race.
After arriving at the Waikiki Yacht Club the trio were decorated with leis bought for them from around the world and received the newly created Terrific Trio Trophy which will be presented to the first trio finishing the Great Pacific Race in years to come.
The team then sat down for a late breakfast and drinks. Tomorrow’s race report will include all the details of the team’s arrival and some of the stories of their life at sea during the past two months. Bravo and congratulations to the truly terrific, Pacific Terrific.
